A Nigerian man, known on Twitter as @themmanuelfaith, has stated on social media that his mother taught at Bishop David Oyedepo’s school for 10 years and that her highest salary was N60k.
The man made the statement while reacting to a report that many private school teachers in Nigeria still earn as low as N15k monthly.
According to @themmanuelfaith , his mother earned about N25k for five years at a school where students pay hundreds of thousands every month.
“My mother worked at David Oyedepo’s school for ten years and her highest salary was 60,000 naira.
She earned about N25k for five years!
“And the students pay hundreds of thousands every term.

Why didn’t both of you collaborated to establish your own school and collect same school fees and pay higher salaries to the teachers?
Is this an entitlement thinking or a kind of lack of emotional intelligence?
School fees is paid maximum of 3 times in one academic session, while salaries are paid 12 times in the same school session.
