The remains of the 49 year old Nigerian woman Omotayo Samuel-Pepple who died through a motor accident on September, 16, 2025 was today laid to rest.
Her final journey to great beyond started with a well attended and organized Service of Songs by Redeemed Christian Church, Rhema Sanctuary at Pembina on Friday, October 17, 2025.
The final burial rites kicked off with the lying in state at the burial venue , Glen Lawn Funeral Home situated at 455 Lagimodiere Blvd, Winnipeg.
Family, friends, colleagues and fellow church members were given the opportunity to view the corpse and pay their last respect before the casket was finally closed.
Immediately after the closure the body was taken to her graveside for the final commitment to mother earth..
In a short but powerful graveside sermon Rhema Sanctuary senior pastor Dipo Adewunmi exhorted the family, friends and church members to be of good courage as the departed has finished her race and gone back to her maker.
Thereafter immediate family were asked to give their final words. It was an emotion-filled moment as each of them gave a speech starting with her daughter, two sons and finally her grieve stricken husband, Mr People.
Then came the final moments when her husband and children were asked to do the traditional dust to dust pouring of sand inside the grave before final internment.
At this stage virtually every one dropped tears in grief of the unfortunate incident that snuffed life out of the amiable sister in Christ.
Omotayo Samuel-Pepple was hit by a car on September 16, 2025 while returning from work at ever busy. Aboniji Mikanah Expressway. All attempts to restore her back to life including a series of surgeries which failed.
She is survived by husband, children and an aged mother.
