Nigerian human rights activist and social media influencer, Isaac Fayose, has recounted how he his staff mismanaged and forced him to shut down his N105 million worth restaurant in Abuja.
Fayose made the disclosure on Monday while speaking on Nigerians greediness on Honest Bunch Podcast.
Narrating his ordeal, the social media influencer held that he had opened the restaurant in an effort to create job for people.
He however shut down the restaurant after several cases of theft and sharp practices by the staff.
“People are too greedy. I opened Amala restaurant last year for N105 million in Abuja. I said let me create job and take at least 50 people out of poverty. My brother they chop the Amala restaurant in five months.
“First, they stole two generators. Then POS no go work. Na transfer to their account.” Fayose said.
He also recounted how a livestock farm managed by his wife was closed over poor management by his staff in Ibadan, Oyo State.
“My Oyinbo wife (White wife) used to manage it. We used to have cows, ram. My Oyinbo wife left Ibadan.
“The cow all lose weight like kwashiorkor. All the alapatas (butchers) wey dey buy from us, Dem no come again. The business crashed.” He said.
Fayose however blamed the government over the predicaments as he decried the economic situation of the country which forced many into corrupt practices.
“I think it’s the government because how do you survive with N75,000 per month? I spent maybe N500k a day.
“So, how can someone live with N70,000 per month? You dey pay me N70,000 and you no want make I steal? You dey play Policeman N150,000, no pension. If Dem kpai you there, you don go. And you want make him no collect bribe?” He asked.
