Businessman and politician, Senator Ned Nwoko has accused members of his wife, Regina Daniel’s family of harassment, substance abuse, and interference in her medical rehabilitation, describing a series of incidents that have allegedly disrupted his household and endangered his family’s well-being.
In a detailed statement posted on his social media handles, the businessman claimed that Regina’s brother, identified as Sammy, had “repeatedly come to my home and harassed my children and domestic staff, especially whenever I was not around,” adding that the visits were often “aggressive and disruptive.”
He alleged that despite having financially supported Sammy through his university education and early music career, the younger man’s conduct had become increasingly confrontational. “This is someone I sponsored through his last two years at the University of Ekpoma. I bought his musical instruments, rented and furnished a flat for him in Abuja,” he said, adding that he also provided financial support to other members of Regina’s family, including her mother, Rita Daniel.
Ned further alleged that over the past two years, he transferred about ₦125 million to Regina’s mother for family upkeep.
According to him, trouble began when Regina was placed under medical supervision following what he described as “troubling behavioral changes linked to her dependence on certain illegal substances.” Doctors had allegedly advised that her contact with certain friends and relatives be restricted to aid her recovery.
However, he claimed that Sammy and other associates, including Destiny, Sonia Uche Montana, and a woman identified as Cassie, consistently defied those medical instructions. “They would come into the house uninvited, sometimes forcing their way in, and would bring her the same drugs she was being treated for,” he alleged.
The billionaire further alleged that some members of Regina’s circle also used the same substances and were “deeply involved in the habit themselves.”
He recounted an incident that occurred about four weeks ago, claiming that Sammy stormed his residence after he asked Sammy’s girlfriend to leave his house. “He came shouting and demanding that I come downstairs to face him… I eventually instructed security to push him out of my compound,” he said, adding that the confrontation left his household “shaken.”
He also accused the group of verbally assaulting police officers assigned to protect the residence, alleging that they frequently threatened the officers who tried to enforce the access restrictions.
Senator Ned said Regina’s rehabilitation efforts were repeatedly undermined by her continued interaction with the same group. He cited instances where she allegedly left home overnight without notice and returned the following day, attributing her behavior to ongoing substance use.
He described one of the most recent incidents as a “planned and orchestrated” confrontation, in which Regina and her siblings allegedly attacked staff members and recorded a video that later went viral. He maintained that the video, which purported to show Regina being assaulted, was staged and filmed “in front of my house, in my absence.”
“Nobody was beaten, and it is blatantly false to say that I sent thugs to attack Regina,” he stated.
The Delta State born politician also disclosed that he had previously sponsored another of Regina’s brothers, Lawrence, to study in the United Kingdom with $70,000 in tuition and living expenses, and had offered the same opportunity to Sammy, who declined. He alleged that Sammy had since been arrested several times by law enforcement agencies and called for him to undergo “total rehabilitation and professional guidance.”
