A new development emerged in the succession process for the Awujale of Ijebuland following the submission of an official Member’s Particulars and Linkage form by Fuji maestro and prominent Ijebu son, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal (K1).
The document, issued by the Fusengbuwa Ruling House in Ijebu-Ode, contains K1’s full personal details, his lineage through the Adesanya (Anifowoshe) family unit, and a formal declaration of allegiance to the decisions and authority of the ruling house. The form, dated December 8, 2025, was endorsed by the Family Unit Head, confirming its authenticity.
By completing and submitting this form, K1 has formally signified his interest in the Awujale stool, putting an end to weeks of public speculation. His entry now places him among eligible princes from the Fusengbuwa Ruling House who will be screened in accordance with established customs and succession procedures.
The process of selecting a new Awujale follows strict traditional guidelines that involve verification of lineage, consultation with kingmakers, and the final approval of the Ogun State Government. K1’s formal submission marks a significant moment in the unfolding succession journey, as the Ijebu nation awaits further steps from the ruling house and the kingmakers.
