The second edition of the HRM Eze Sir Tim Nwokoro and Ugoeze Lady Felicia Nwokoro memorial Church Music Competition sponsored by the Eze Tim Nwokoro family has ended at the Methodist cathedral Ihube, Imo State, Nigeria with Cathedral Circuit emerging tops.
The keenly and well attended soul-lifting praise event also had Lokpanta circuit coming second while Chieze circuit emerged third.
Presenting his address, a member of the Royal family and Lay President, Ihube Methodist Diocese, Prince Sir Ebere Nwokoro noted that their family decided to sponsor the programme to keep alive the virtues praising God through songs which their late parents cherished.
Sir Ebere Nwokoro, however, made it clear that it was no longer a tribute but now a living legacy, adding that unlike the first edition where only first to third placed choirs were rewarded, the current edition will ensure that all participating teams receive commensurate prizes.
While recalling that the first edition which was held on 28 September, 2024 was outstandingly uplifting and successful and enjoined the participating choirs to keep the standards.
The annual musical fiesta is part of the activities usually mapped out by the the late Royal fathers family to keep celebrating the duo and maintaining their principles.
