Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has leveled serious allegations against her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, accusing him of emotional abuse, manipulation, and attempts to control her life and relationships.
In a lengthy social media post, Daniels accused the Delta North lawmaker of lying about her family’s involvement in their ongoing dispute and using claims of drug use to divert public attention from what she described as “the real issue” in their troubled relationship.
“Ned, how could you lie so openly and without even small remorse? You know my family has absolutely nothing to do with this,” she wrote. “You have always tried to cut them off because of the bond we share, and now you are trying to make them look bad for no reason.”
The actress admitted to having used drugs in the past but claimed that Nwoko had encouraged the behavior, allegedly telling her she was “sexier” when under the influence. Daniels alleged that Nwoko used her past drug use as a weapon to discredit her publicly after their fallout.
“You want to find a reason to arrest everyone around me so that I will have no one left beside me, no friend, no support, no safe place to turn to,” she stated. “That has always been your strategy — break people down, make them weak and powerless, and then have your way with them.”
Daniels also accused the senator of physical and psychological abuse, alleging that he locked her up, seized her phones, and forced her to undergo medical treatment against her will whenever she attempted to leave the relationship.

She further claimed that Nwoko labeled her “mentally unstable” to justify his actions, only reversing the claim when she complied with his demands.
“You say you want me to go for rehab, but you are the same Ned who always wanted me high,” she wrote. “Why don’t you also tell them how you force yourself on me whenever I say no?”
The actress denied that she and Nwoko were legally married, saying there were no signed documents or court-recognized union between them.
“I would have filed for divorce long ago if there was ever a legal marriage between us,” she said. “Marriage is not by force. Love is not by force. Stop trying to control what no longer belongs to you.”
Daniels concluded her post by expressing gratitude for finding “strength in the same house” where she claimed her husband tried to destroy her, acknowledging that the revelations had come out in “the messiest way.”
As of the time of filing this report, Senator Ned Nwoko has not issued any public response to the allegations.
