Outrage as students forced to write WAEC exam in the night with phone torch in Asaba , Delta state
A viral video of students in a community school in Okpanam-Asaba, Delta state writing WAEC exam with their phone torch light has emerged.
According to the narrator in the highly provocative video the examination was supposed to have started by 2pm but for no known reasons the invigilators of the exam brought the papers by 6pm.
As there was no supply of public power the students were forced to use their phone torch lights to provide illumination for them to answer the questions.
At a point in the course of the exams a voice was heard asking the students to submit their papers and the students obeyed by turning in their papers.
This is coming barely two weeks after another public examination body JAMB messed up the career of over 400,000 candidates in the widely acknowledged 2025 UTME exam technical glitch where their results were mumbled up.
The outcome of this year’s JAMB results showed over 1500 candidates failing in an exam that 1,945000 registered accounting for the worst JAMB result in the history of Nigeria.
