The Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) has directed its members to immediately cut off crude oil and gas supplies to the Dangote Petroleum Refinery.
The directive, issued through a memo from its General Secretary, Comrade Lumumba Okugbawa, cited the recent disengagement of 800 workers by the refinery as the reason for the action.
The memo specifically ordered branch chairmen at major oil and gas companies, including TotalEnergies, Chevron, and Shell, to shut down valves and suspend all loading operations to the facility.
An additional directive was issued to the INGC chairman to ensure that gas supply to the refinery is cut off effective immediately.
This move followed Dangote Refinery’s statement that the sack was part of a reorganisation to curb sabotage and safety concerns.
