In a post that gained traction on social media, Onuwaje called on Omokri to focus on “real parenting” instead of “staged photo ops” with their other children.
In a direct address to Reno Omokri, Onuwaje leveled a number of significant allegations, with a focus on their son with special needs. She stated that Omokri has not seen or spent time with their son with special needs since June 2024, emphasizing that this period was “Over a year!”. This directly contradicts the image of involved fatherhood that Omokri often projects online.
Onuwaje accused Omokri of using his other children for “fleeting visits” and “photo ops” to maintain his public image. She framed this as a preference for “social media validation” over meaningful family time.
The message urges Omokri to prioritize “meaningful moments” and “show up for real life” rather than for the camera. The statement “Real parenting happens in everyday moments, not just in staged photos” served as the core of her appeal.
Onuwaje called for Omokri to “Be present, be involved, and be constant in your children’s lives,” challenging his perceived inconsistency.
This is not the first time Tuokpe Onuwaje has publicly called out Reno Omokri.
In September 2024, reports from Ripples Nigeria and other outlets detailed her past accusations of domestic violence against Omokri, alleging that she fled for her safety due to his “control freak” behavior.
A previous Facebook post from March 2025 shows Onuwaje expressing her “extreme frustration with the manipulation and lack of action” regarding an email thread about their son, indicating a history of communication issues and frustration over their son’s care.
The contentious nature of their relationship, including a reported divorce in 2005, has been a subject of public discussion. In this latest statement, Onuwaje reignited public scrutiny of Omokri’s actions by bringing the issue of their son with special needs to the forefront.
