Contrary to widely reported cutting short of president Tinubu’s working vacation, Tinubu did not cut short his days of vacation rather he over stayed by extra two days.
Before travelling out of the country the Aso Rock press statement by Bayo Onanuga said he will spend ten days on a working vacation.
Thus he jetted to France on September 4th, for a 10-Day working vacation.
But instead the president returned to Abuja on September 16th, spending 12 days instead of 10 days
Most traditional Nigerian media reported that Tinubu Ends Vacation Early, To Resume Duties.”
This is far from the truth as the initial press statement before his trip did not state so. What most of the media houses did was just to copy the press statement of Tinubu’s spokesman Bayo Onanuga which is false.
