The All Progressives Congress (APC) deputy governorship candidate in Anambra State, Senator Uche Ekwunife, has launched a scathing attack on Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo.
In a viral video, Ekwunife accused Soludo of poor personal hygiene, claiming he has body odour and bad breath.
She also dismissed the governor’s allegation that her doctorate degree was obtained from an unaccredited U.S. institution. Ekwunife insisted her academic records were verifiable in Nigeria, citing her master’s degree from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, and her first degree from the University of Calabar before obtaining her PhD.
“Go to court if you claim my PhD certificate is fake. Go to Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, to verify my master’s degree and to the University of Calabar for my first degree. I did both before obtaining my PhD,” she declared, further accusing Soludo of parading a questionable professorship that she described as a mere departmental award.
Ekwunife berated Soludo’s leadership, alleging that insecurity had worsened under his administration. “All the bushes in Anambra State are full of people’s corpses. Anambra was peaceful before he took power, but now people are running away from the state. You have failed woefully as governor,” she said.
Switching to Igbo, she renewed her criticism of Soludo’s hygiene, saying: “Have they not told you that your mouth smells? You’re the dirtiest governor in the whole of Africa.
You smell, your armpits smell. Tell your wife to get you deodorant. When you bathe, you apply it to your armpits so you can be like your fellow men. When you open your mouth to speak, the odour that comes out is so stinking and embarrassing for a governor.”
