Everybody says, “We are a praying church. We pray 3 times a day.” That’s good. Prayer is good. But the devil is not afraid of prayer alone because you can pray and still be broke. You can pray and still be owing. You can pray and the church roof is still leaking. You can pray and your members are still stranded and a broke church cannot finance the gospel. A broke church cannot build schools. A broke church cannot take the gospel to nations.
The devil knows this.
A church that has money and the anointing. A church that can pray AND pay. A church that can fast and fund missions. A church that can cast out demons and build hospitals.
When a church is wealthy and Word-based, Satan is in trouble.
Because money in the hands of a praying church becomes a weapon.
Abraham was rich and he was a man of prayer. Genesis 13:2
David was wealthy and he was a man after God’s heart.
Solomon had gold and he built the temple for God. So don’t let anybody deceive you and say, “Money is evil.” Money is not evil. The love of money is evil. 1 Timothy 6:10
The problem is not wealth. The problem is what you do with wealth.
If the church has money, we can feed the poor. If the church has money, we can send missionaries. If the church has money, we can buy airtime and take the gospel to the ends of the earth.
That’s why the devil fights prosperity messages. Because he knows once the church gets financial power, his kingdom will suffer. Pray, yes. But also work. Also build. Also create wealth.
Let your hands be blessed so that the work of God will not lack.
A praying church without resources is limited but a praying church with resources is a threat to hell.
