Nigeria’s First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu emphasized the fear of God as a core requirement for personal relationships, public leadership, and national transformation during interfaith and public addresses.
While speaking at events like an Interfaith Breaking of Fast at the Presidential Villa, Senator Tinubu highlighted that faith and the fear of God form the foundation of lasting relationships and personal integrity.
Drawing from her nearly 40-year interfaith marriage to President Bola Tinubu, she pointed to shared values of respect, patience, and divine reverence as a model for peaceful coexistence across different religions.
During the commissioning of the National Assembly Chapel in Abuja, she similarly urged lawmakers to approach governance and lawmaking with the fear of God.
She reminded public officials that their legislative decisions carry spiritual and moral consequences, emphasizing accountability beyond constitutional duties.
