Forty new electric buses reportedly imported from China have arrived at Canaanland, Ota, Ogun State, weeks after Bishop David Oyedepo announced plans to establish a transport system at the headquarters of the Living Faith Church.
The arrival of the buses was announced in a social media post attributed to Church Gist, which shared photographs of the vehicles at Canaanland.
The post stated that more buses are expected to arrive in the coming days and weeks as the church expands its transportation infrastructure.
The development reportedly comes in addition to 115 new buses purchased recently, bringing the number of newly acquired buses referenced in the post to 155.
Oyedepo had earlier stated that the church did not budget for the purchase of buses in 2026, but that at least 238 buses had been counted within a one-year period.
The reported arrival of the electric buses follows the church leader’s earlier announcement of plans to establish a transport system to improve movement to and from Canaanland, where large religious gatherings are regularly held.
The development has attracted interest among worshippers and observers of activities at the church’s headquarters.
