Nollywood actress and African Action Congress governorship candidate for Abia State in the 2027 elections, Doris Ogala, reportedly collapsed and was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre, Umuahia, on Friday.
A video circulating on social media indicate that Ogala collapsed during a consultation earlier in the day.
She was stabilised at the facility and later shared an update on her condition on her Instagram handle.
“I was rushed to FMC Umuahia. I lost consciousness. Glory to God I am stabilised now,” she wrote on Instagram, captioning a video of her at the health centre.
While at the hospital, Ogala, who was seen in a wheelchair, interacted with patients and staff.
Recall that Ogala recently emerged as the AAC’s candidate for the Abia governorship, declaring her intention to unseat incumbent Governor Alex Otti in 2027.
Her campaign has focused on prioritising the people, economic growth and job creation.
