Credible information at our disposal indicate that Nollywood star actress, Regina Daniels is back home to her billionaire husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.
Regina who separated from her husband over an irreconcilable marital issue a couple of months back is said to be back home.
This much was Solomon Dalung, a lawyer and former Minister of Youth and Sports of Nigeria via his Facebook page.
Dalung wrote “So, apparently, Regina Daniels is back home with Sen. Ned Nwoko.
I deliberately say apparently because, at this point, I haven’t seen anything sufficiently authoritative from either of them to confirm that the marriage has been fully reconciled. The last reliable reports I saw still had the couple dealing with their custody and marital issues. But assuming the report is true, there is a lesson here that social media needs to learn over and over again. And that’s the purpose of this article.
He further wrote “Husband and wife are husband and wife. No matter how much we think we know from Instagram posts, videos, screenshots and family statements, there is a part of a marriage that outsiders simply cannot know.
Yesterday, people were insulting Ned. Others were insulting Regina. Some had already reached a final verdict on the marriage and appointed themselves lawyers, counsellors, prosecutors and judges.
And now, if these reports turn out to be true, the same people will have to explain their positions all over again.
This is why I have always been uncomfortable with taking fanatical positions in other people’s marital affairs.
Advise if you must. Condemn abuse if there is credible evidence of abuse. Stand up for anyone genuinely in danger. But don’t become so emotionally invested in somebody else’s marriage that you begin fighting a war the couple themselves may eventually decide to end. They have children together. They have a history together. They know things about their relationship that none of us on social media know.
If Regina has indeed chosen to return home, that is her decision.
And if she has decided to give the marriage another chance, that decision belongs to her too. The online in-laws can now take a deep breath.
Sometimes, the people we think we are defending don’t actually need us to fight their battles to the death.
In matters of marriage, outsiders should know when to speak and, perhaps more importantly, when to shut up.”
