Nigeria’s economy is stabilizing, as foreign reserves are growing and inflation is going down.
She stated this at the One-Day Women Stakeholders’ Mobilization and Empowerment Pre-Inaugural Summit organized by the APC Presidential Campaign Council held in Abuja, on Monday.
The event, themed Renewed Hope Agenda 2.0: From Reforms to prosperity: One Voice, One Movement, One Choice, One Mandate 2027, drew APC delegates from the 36 states of the federation and Abuja.
Also women groups and assemblies including the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), the National Female Students Association of Nigeria (NFSAN), Christian and Muslim groups, market associations, among others, endorsed the president at the event.
She said President Tinubu is a leader anybody can trust because his reforms were positively impacting the economy, as investors were returning to Nigeria, farmers were getting more support, and children have access to universities.
She said, “Our economy is stabilizing, inflation is coming down, our foreign reserves are growing. Investors are returning to Nigeria, our farmers are getting more support. Our children in the universities are now able to access student loans through mail phones, just to mention a few.
“So tell everyone, as you go back to your glorious days, that you have a leader who is bold enough to take difficult decisions in the beginning. He is a leader who can be trusted to lead us into prosperity. Let us show the world that Nigerian women have spoken. We speak with one voice and we vote APC again, so that the well-made solid foundation can be built upon.”
However, the wives of the members of the House of Representatives promised to give President Bola Ahmed Tinubu 20,000 votes per constituency during the 2027 presidential election.
Speaking on behalf of the wives of the lawmakers, Hajiya Fatima Tajudeen Abbas, wife of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, said the women were satisfied with the reforms introduced by the Tinubu administration.
According to her, education and the well-being of families continue to touch lives across the country.
She said the Tinubu administration has consistently shown that women are empowered, families are strengthened, and communities prosper.
“So, we promise to bring 20,000 women votes from every federal constituency. I therefore call on Nigerian women to unite under one voice, one movement, one choice, one mandate.”
She urged women to go back to their wards and engage in door-to-door campaigns ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
