Contrary to the widely held belief and recent claims by Kenneth Okonkwo that Peter Obi graduated with a third class, investigations by Agenda Papers has proven it to be false.
According to the records dug out by one of Peter Obi’s school mates at the University of Nigeria,Nsukka Engr Clem Nze he said Peter Obi graduated with a 2-2, second class lower and not third class.
Engr Clem Nze who is the immediate past Director–General of Nigeria Hydrological Services did not end with verbal claims as he brought out a copy of the University graduating list showing the name of Peter Obi as one of the students who graduated with second class lower in the philosophy department of the year 1984.

I still have the raw copy of this special edition of *The Record*, a magazine published by the Mass Communication Dept of the University of Nigeria, to mark the Convocation ceremony of the 1983/84 graduands held on 21st February, 1985. The Convocation ceremony was to be held in December 1984, but was shifted to February, 1985. Peter Obi and I graduated in the same academic year but different Departments, including Governor Charles Soludo.
It will be recalled that Reno Omokiri has flown this kite of Peter Obi passing out with a third class a few years ago and the University of Nigeria Nsukka came out to debunk it as unfounded and false only for Kenneth Okonkwo to resurrect it again now to score cheap political points and rubbish Peter Obi as the campaign and intrigues of 2027 presidential election gathers momentum.
