Francis Ade Fadahunsi, the lawmaker representing Osun East Senatorial District, has publicly threatened the lives of Accord Party (AP) members ahead of Saturday’s governorship election in Osun State.
In a one-minute video shared on X by David Adeleke, a popular musician and nephew of incumbent governor Ademola Adeleke, Fadahunsi tells party supporters in Ilesa that AP members must not be seen anywhere near them.
The lawmaker was referring to supporters of the AP, the same party the governor is representing.

“What kind of life is that? If we hear of any accord here again, if we hear of any accord in Ilesa again (the crowd erupted in cheers), this election that we want to do, this election… record me and take it everywhere… go and take it to the market,” Fadahunsi says in Yoruba.
“We said that the cap they are wearing, the yellow one is wearing a jaundice cap, one belonging to an animal. It is an animal that kills other people. How many people have you seen the APC kill?
“Or are these people being killed not one of you? We are here now and we have come to tell you that until election day, if we see them anywhere, we will kill them. We can’t fold our hands. We want the king to help us call those shouting APC…”

Fadahunsi’s threat is coming amid growing concerns over violence ahead of the Osun governorship election.
There have been reported cases of killings, arrests involving polticial actors and their supporters in Osun for months.
