Nigeria’s former minister of petroleum resource, Diezani Alison-Maduke has been acquitted of bribery charges filed against her in a Southwark crown court in London, United Kingdom.
Alison-Madueke was acquitted by a jury of all six charges after more than 46 hours of deliberation on Wednesday.
Diezani has been in self-imposed exile for more than ten years after serving as the powerful petroleum minister under the Goodluck Jonathan administration.
