A six-month-old baby girl named Fatima has died in captivity after being kidnapped alongside her parents in Kaduna State, while their abductors continue to demand a ₦300 million ransom.
The father, identified as Ahmad Abubakar Zakka, his pregnant wife, and their late six-month-old daughter, Fatima.
The family was kidnapped between October 5 and 6, 2026, when armed bandits invaded the Alrahus Estate in Millennium City, located within the Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
But a video Appeal: On October 12, 2026 showed disturbing video online showing Ahmad Zakka with a swollen right hand, holding his baby daughter and pleading for public assistance while an insurgent pointed a rifle at his head. His wife was seated right next to him.
Current update: Reports indicate that the infant has tragically passed away while being held hostage.
Despite the infant’s reported death, the kidnappers are stubbornly maintaining their ransom demand of N300 million.
The exact circumstances surrounding the baby’s death and the current condition of her parents remain unclear.
