A viral video has shown a man in a Nigerian Police uniform publicly claiming that former presidential candidate Peter Obi and any Igbo person can never become president of Nigeria.
A passenger recorded the video of the police man sitting in the front seat of a public transport vehicle while wearing a police uniform.
The officer asserted that an Igbo person cannot lead the country and made derogatory remarks about Peter Obi, his supporters, and the Igbo community.
He also claimed that money and power would block Obi from taking office even if he wins the presidential election.
This has sparked off reactions as many have condemned the remarks as partisan and ethnically divisive
Concerned Nigerians have urged the inspector general of police to urgently investigate the video, identify the officer, and enforce disciplinary actions to maintain institutional neutrality
